Dr. Mary Volker is a board-certified veterinary dentist & oral surgeon. Dr. Volker is a partner at the Animal Dental Center and is co-director of its residency training program. Since joining the Animal Dental Center in 2011, Dr. Volker strives to provide exceptional oral care to its patients. Dr. Volker teaches monthly at the Animal Dental Training Center in Baltimore, MD, where veterinarians and veterinary technicians from around the world learn about veterinary dentistry. Dr. Volker’s professional interests are varied and include endodontics and restorative dentistry. She has authored numerous publications and continues to work on research and articles with her colleagues at the Animal Dental Center. Dr. Volker also currently serves as president of the Anne Arundel County Veterinary Medical Association in Maryland.

Dr. Volker is a graduate of Iowa State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. Her rotating internship was completed at VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver, Colorado. She is an alumnus of Bucknell University where she was a Division I swimmer. Outside of clinical practice Dr. Volker enjoys swimming on the Maryland Masters Swim Team; running with her husband (who is also a veterinarian) and their dog, Ruby; and spending time with family and friends.

The board-certified veterinary dentists at Animal Dental Center have the extensive knowledge, expertise, and specialized equipment to determine the extent and severity of your pet’s oral disease and to provide appropriate treatment. You will have peace of mind knowing your pet is receiving a professional dental cleaning, diagnosis through radiographs and treatment of periodontal disease and other oral pathology. This treatment, usually combined with at-home daily oral homecare will also help to prevent future oral disease.
