Dr. Cediel’s journey from the mountains of Colombia to the world of animal dentistry is as exciting as a waterfall-climbing fish—literally. After earning his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from St. Cloud University (where he studied those very fish in Hawaii), he shifted gears to the University of Illinois for his veterinary degree. After spending seven years in general practice, he accepted a position at Midwestern University’s School of Veterinary Medicine, where he mentored veterinary students for six years. His love for animal dentistry and maxillofacial surgery has since led him to pursue a residency at the Animal Dental Center in 2024. When not in the clinic, you’ll find Dr. Cediel cheering for his favorite soccer team, catching Formula One races, or exploring new travel destinations.
