Specialized Veterinary Dentistry Facilities
Animal Dental Center Offers State-of-the-Art Technology and Equipment
Here at the Animal Dental Center, our specialized dental facilities and team treats all aspects of oral health for your pet, including dentistry, oral surgery, root canal therapy, periodontal surgery, and metal crown restorations. The techniques and materials we use to treat your special four-legged family members are based on the latest advances and published research in the fields of both veterinary and human dentistry.
All of our offices are equipped with state-of-the-art anesthetic monitoring systems that, similar to human medicine, provide continuous readings of your pet’s vital organ systems. These monitor the EKG, heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, oxygen saturation and amount of carbon dioxide exhaled. Closely watching these changing values allows our team to treat any irregularities before they can potentially compromise the patient’s safety. All of our locations are also equipped with in-house blood machines that help evaluate a pet’s vital organs prior to anesthesia.
Our team always works closely with referring veterinarians and other specialists in our specialized dental facilities to make sure our patients receive the highest quality care. In addition, our Towson facility is located in a large multi-specialty veterinary hospital that includes 24-hour emergency care.

Specialty Technology & Equipment
- Digital Dental Radiography - Is a game-changing technology we utilize to effectively evaluate the oral cavity. Our digital system allows us to review, enhance, and share the radiographs within seconds of being taken. These high-quality digital images are available to any member of our team regardless of physical location and allow for near instant review, enhancement, and sharing as needed. A digital x-ray system also emits significantly lower doses of radiation vs. traditional radiography. Radiographs are absolutely necessary for a comprehensive assessment of the entire oral cavity.
- Electrosurgery - is used by our veterinary dental specialists to control bleeding and decrease the anesthesia time. This is especially useful in taking biopsies and remodeling the gingiva or gums. The patient has diminished bleeding and greater comfort on awakening.
- Piezetome - is a surgical device which will cut through hard tissues like bone and tooth without damaging soft tissues like blood vessels or nerves. The piezetome is often used for extensive tumor removals because it allows very precise cutting around complex anatomic structures with minimal bleeding.
- Ultrasonic scalers - are highly efficient devices which allow rapid and thorough cleaning of the teeth both above and below the gum line.
